Step 2: An ophthalmic technician will perform a series of painless diagnostic tests on state-of-the-art equipment not commonly avialable in standard eye exams. This include Topography and Auto Refraction. The results of these diagnostic tests will  determine your candidacy for LASIK and options for alternative correction technology.

Step 3: The ophthalmologist will then notify you within 48 hours if your eyes would qualify for full PRE-LASIK assesment. An ophthalmologist will review the results and perform a thorough eye exam to prescribe to you the best treatment for your eyes. We will explain the procedure, the risks and expected benefits of LASIK or other procedures. Our ophthalmologist will go over alternatives, if any, and the particular conditions that might affect your decision to undergo the procedure.

Step 4: If your eyes are deemed to be suitable for LASIK by our specialist surgeons, your eyes will be closer examined for a further 2 hours. These further tests would cost around AED 680. If you should decide to continue with the LASIK surgery, the costs of the pre-LASIK would be free.
